"The streets were dark with something more than night." "A city no worse than others, a city rich an vigorous and full of pride, a city lost and beaten and full of emptiness. " Raymond Chandler
NOIR, what a word! The genre, the style, the stories, the movie odyssey, characters, the spiritual failure, the drama, the mystery of crime, the emanation of truth. Can I enter the realm of Noir armed only with a brush, oil colors and canvas? Can I, by using this traditional and noble painting technique, approach the heart of Noir? Can I tell my stories on a flat surface of the canvas where my characters cannot be animated like on a silver screen but are frozen in a mute space? I hope I can. I go on this journey with both anxiety and constructive confidence, searching for a sense of our culture and reality, seduced by the elegance of the world of this black and white illusion and metaphysical darkness. So here it is, my fiction.
